Hi there lovelies...
I was on my Saturday me-date today, enjoying some alone time and perusing my go-to blogs. I read this post from one of my favorites and was challenged to join in! Thanks Rachel!
I am attempting to blog for the whole month of May!
This is not a straight-forward choice but one I think will be a really good one for me right now. You see, our school year finishes in June... So this is the last month of the year - enter craziness, enter tiredness, enter stressi-ness - (actually these have been here for a while)!!
I want to align myself back with the theme of my blog - seeing grace and goodness in every day life -
So here goes!!
I am on catch up mode ~
The story of your life in 250 words of less...
I am an 80s child. My mum and dad were hippies and met picking tobacco. Together they found Christ, married and I was welcomed a year later. I am the eldest and only girl of three brothers. We moved around a lot, I am a farm-girl at heart. At 14 my parents separated and my mum became our sole provider, protector; our everything. She is my hero. I always loved school, photography and music. I grew up playing lots of sport and taking on all that could be offered - jobs, head girl, musician etc. At 17, I left our small town to the 'big city' Christchurch to attend university. My university days were some of the darkest days but I continued through sickness and challenges, and proudly graduated with a degree in Education. Starting my teaching career, I became involved with youth work and moved back to my hometown to start a youth group - inspired by the fact that nothing was happening for our young people there. These were some of my most brightest days; now enter my hubby, who joined the team. We started playing tennis, hanging out and began dating, got engaged and married all within a year. We felt led to travel; initially six months in the UK and now we are in our third year in South Korea working at an international school. This year I became a mama. Isaiah is our very special blessing. The best has yet to come!
Why don't you join us? I would love to get to know you better!
