One year later

Last year for the first time we visited the Garden of the Morning Calm; beautifully established ornamental grounds set in the hills of Gapyeong-gun. Thinking back to that visit, I was just about ready to fly back to NZ a month earlier than Mark in order to prepare for baby Hub's arrival. It was our last chance to document our time as expectant parents.

So it was so fantastic to take Isaiah back to the same places and think back about all the changes and journeys we have gone through together since then. It surely has been remarkable.

Our little twinkle toes

Grandad and Nana treated Isaiah to a baby bouncer!

We thought he would be jumping straight away but instead our boy showed his ability to dance the jig without any training.

We laughed until we cried.

Without further ado, Isaiah's jig...

A day that wasn't expected

Day 15: A Day in the life (include photos from throughout your typical day - this could be "a photo an hour" if you'd like)

As my title suggests this post does not depict a 'typical' day for me. Today, our baby Hub woke after having immunization shots yesterday to being really upset coupled with low range fever. Our poor boy. This meant that we did not prepare and leave for school today but I stayed back to tend to our boy who never wanted to be put down. He is on the mend but here is some of what happened today...

My first Mother's Day

A quick little something from baby Hub...

My first Mother's day.

Today was an emotional roller coaster to say the least. My poor hubby having to navigate my highs and lows. It still feels so new to me, this mummy biz.

Here are some snaps from my iphone. It was a great to be with my boys and just enjoy the outdoors and our little man especially. We celebrated at a pancake restaurant and then took a walk in the central park of Bundang.

Frame this moment // Birthday

This is not the best photo but it sure was the best moment.

Waking up on my birthday as a mother.

I want to remember this moment;
getting birthday cuddles from my greatest gift.

I want to frame it.

Joining up with Shauna

What moment do you want to frame this week?

Frame this moment // Smile

A simple sweet moment captured with my boy.
A dimpled smile in the afternoon sun.

I am joining Shauna in her quest to frame a moment.
You can join too!

Our little rugby fan

You can't deny it...

These photos are proof, baby Hub was born a rugby fan ~ much to his daddy's delight.

Baby Hub is here

We welcome to the world Isaiah Kenneth.

Born 17 December 2012 at 3:52pm at home in water. We are all well and feel blessed to have him arrive safely, weighing 7lb13 (3540g).

We are now a little family of 3!

My favorite

After 29 hours of travel, sporting his All Blacks top and an upper-lip camouflaged with a month's worth of Movember growth, Hubby arrived safe and sound back to me here in NZ.

It's SO great to be reunited and to prepare for our little's arrival but let's just say the mo' will be going very soon!

We have lots to catch up on as we have been away from each other for the looooongest time - one whole month people! - at the start of the time it was such a daunting task but God is good and we skyped sometimes twice a day to get through... Thankfully baby Hub held on!

Here's to our next adventure as soon-to-be mum and dad and to spending lots of quality time with family and celebrating this very special time of year with the ones we love!

A Baby Sprinkle

I wanted to have a gathering of people to commemorate this next big adventure - so mum and I decided on a Baby 'Sprinkle' rather than a Baby Shower.

Friends and family gathered at mum's house and enjoyed catching up and some fun little games.

Thank you mum, you made this a very special day for me.

My niece Rebekah, guessing my baby bump size - she was so generous!

I started talking and didn't realize that my gift had been 'caught'!

There were lot's of yummy treats and all tasted of SUMMER.

My sister-in-law Joanne, mother-in-law Christine, niece Rebekah and friend, Anika.

Special friends Betty and Jeanette.

Alice, a wonderful family friend who met my mum when I was a baby bump... The cycle continues!

Thanks everyone for a great day and memories for years to come.

34 Weeks

When we visited the Garden of the Morning Calm we had an opportunity to take some maternity photos before I leave for NZ on November 3.

It was great to capture these moments in such a beautiful environment.

Life sure is going to be a new adventure in the next 6 weeks!

Currently...

Obsessing over: Man I didn't realize that this 'nesting' urge actually really is a reality when you are pregnant! I would say obsessing is a strong word but I am 'chipping away' at our baby room. We had the crib and change table drawers arrive yesterday so it's starting to take shape which is really exciting.
Working on: Lots of projects at school - getting used to a new job and new expectations from others and myself... by the way, I am LOVING it.
Thinking about: Family - being able to see them and hang out when I get back to NZ in November. Our baby - thinking about how we are going to have a son or daughter to hold by the end of the year - it still blows my mind!
Anticipating: My mum arriving in South Korea on Monday evening! Sososo excited to show her around and for her to see the baby Hub bump!
Listening to: 'Take Heart' by Hillsong United, can't get enough of this song right now. Also 'Ghosts Upon the Earth' by Gungor... SO good.
Drinking: H20 and decaf coffee every now and again.
Wishing: Praying for a blessed last trimester of this pregnancy, it has been amazing so far...
